The "BRAIN SLEEP Coin (device)" is worn around the waist during sleep. When linked with the app, it allows for the analysis of crucial sleep quality factors that were previously unavailable with conventional sleep tracking devices, in addition to the app's standalone measurement items. These factors include sleeping posture, number of tosses and turns, and in-bed temperature (temperature inside the futon).

The silicone clip-type design is easy to attach, stays securely in place, and is soft and comfortable, causing no stress during sleep.

It uses a proprietary algorithm developed based on sleep research and applies technology used in sleep research. It reveals individual sleep stages (sleep depth), sleeping posture, in-bed temperature (temperature inside the futon), and snoring, which were previously undetectable by conventional sleep measurement devices.

A proprietary algorithm and sensor for determining sleep stages classify sleep into four depths: [Awake], [REM sleep], [Light sleep], and [Deep sleep], and visualize the duration of each stage.
By understanding when you are awake and how much deep sleep you are getting, it helps you create an optimal sleep rhythm.

Additionally, a "Sleep Score" is calculated from sleep duration, sleep efficiency, and other sleep conditions. By measuring daily, you can also track changes in your sleep condition weekly and monthly.

By using "BRAIN SLEEP Coin (device)," you can record your sleeping posture, such as on your back, side, or stomach, and at what time.

Not only can you visualize the loudness of the noise, but also the time and duration of your snoring. Furthermore, it automatically records snoring and environmental sounds, allowing you to listen to sounds during sleep that you normally wouldn't hear.

2: Supports comfortable falling asleep and waking up

We feature high-quality music in collaboration with avex, including sounds of rain, bonfires, waves, and gentle healing sounds that promote restful sleep. Setting these for bedtime or wake-up time supports smooth falling asleep and a comfortable awakening. The selection of available songs will be continuously updated and expanded.

Also, by analyzing your sleep stages, you can set an alarm to go off during a light sleep phase, which reduces the instances of being abruptly woken up during deep sleep and leads to a refreshing awakening.

3: Earn coins every time you sleep

You can earn "Sleep Coins" within the app by tracking your sleep and performing various actions.
These accumulated "Sleep Coins" can be exchanged for valuable coupons and services, such as discount coupons for "BRAIN SLEEP" products, in-app music purchases, and in-app lotteries. Various product coupons and services will be updated regularly, making sleep more enjoyable.

I tried it myself!

I personally tried "BRAIN SLEEP Coin" for several days, so I'll share my measurement results and impressions, including the steps to measure!

1: First, download the "BRAIN SLEEP Coin (app)"

On the home screen, you can see the number of "Sleep Coins" you currently hold, your sleep score, and more. To measure your sleep, tap the "Measure" icon in the bottom right corner to configure your measurement settings.

2: Select music to play when falling asleep and waking up, and set wake-up time and snooze

Tapping the measurement icon brings up the alarm screen, where you can set the music for falling asleep and waking up, as well as the wake-up time and snooze settings.

You can set the wake-up time not only with the upper wheel but also by tapping the center of the wheel to use the drum. Your bedtime will be automatically set by tapping "Start" after finishing other settings.

For the music played when falling asleep and waking up, in addition to music that can be downloaded for 0 coins, there is also music that can be purchased with "Sleep Coins" accumulated within the app. You can preview all songs, so find your favorites.

My favorite sleep music is "Slow Temp (bpm62-58)." The slow-tempo healing music was soothing to my ears, and before I knew it, I was asleep. There are also various other sounds, such as rain and piano music.

My favorite wake-up music is "Nature Morning Ambient." The sound of waves and birds chirping gently wakes me up, leaving me feeling refreshed in the morning.

At first, I was worried, "Can I really wake up to such gentle music?" But since it wakes me up during a light sleep phase within the set time, I wake up with a feeling of "I just woke up naturally."

If you find your morning alarm unpleasant, please give this a try. Finally, set your wake-up time and snooze.

3: Turn on snoring and environmental sound measurement if desired

If you want to measure snoring and environmental sounds, turn on "Measure Snoring & Environmental Sounds."

4: Finally, just link the device with the app and sleep as usual.

Next, link the "BRAIN SLEEP Coin (device)" via Bluetooth. Tap "Link Sleep Coin Device" at the bottom of the alarm screen, and the following screen will appear. Then tap "Link Device."

On the next screen, "BSC-○○ (6-digit number)" will appear. Select it and tap "Pairing" on the confirmation screen, and the lamp embedded on the front of the device will light up for 1 second (you can also check it while it's in the clip). If the device's lamp lights up, the linking is complete.

Finally, tapping "Start" on the alarm screen brings up the screen below. This completes the app setup.
Now, just attach the device to the waistband of your pajamas and sleep. It's very simple.

By the way, the in-bed temperature is displayed in real-time, so even when I woke up feeling hot, I could immediately check the in-bed temperature.

4: The next morning, high-performance sleep analysis is revealed!

When you wake up the next morning, various sleep scores are analyzed and recorded.

"Sleep Rhythm"

First, the "Sleep Rhythm" shows how much deep sleep you got and at what times. I could see that I entered deep sleep soon after falling asleep, and as morning approached, I had more light sleep. On this day, my sleep efficiency was "85%." On other days, it was "77%" or "94%," so checking it every morning became something I looked forward to.

"Number of times you fall back asleep," "Number of times you wake up during the night," "In-bed temperature"

The "in-bed temperature" refers to the temperature inside the futon. The ideal in-bed temperature is said to be 32-34℃, so on this day, the in-bed temperature was a bit high. Since you can also view it overlaid with "sleep stages," you can find your optimal temperature that promotes deep sleep.

Regarding the number of times I woke up in the middle of the night, I had no memory of waking up myself, but when I confirmed with the development team, they said it includes instances of waking up unconsciously. I was very surprised by how many times I woke up without realizing it.

"Snoring" and "Environmental Sounds"

"Sleep Noise" records what sounds were heard during sleep.
On this particular day, no "environmental sounds" were measured, but on other days, it recorded sounds like rustling futons or air conditioning. For people who snore, it records snoring so they can actually hear it themselves.

"Tossing and turning"

It shows that I started sleeping on my back and then turned onto my side, tossing and turning.
Since it is said that "adults toss and turn about 20 times a night, and children a little more," I have fewer tosses and turns. Fewer tosses and turns can put a strain on the body, so it might be a good idea to re-evaluate the hardness of the mattress and the height of the pillow.

Also, on days when I fell asleep on my side, I spent a long time sleeping on my side, and on days when I fell asleep on my stomach, I spent a long time sleeping on my stomach. So, I decided to try to fall asleep on my back as much as possible.

You can earn "Sleep Coins" by using the app's features, such as logging in and tracking. The accumulated "Sleep Coins" can be exchanged for in-app music purchases, as well as coupons that can be used for "BRAIN SLEEP" products.
