On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, BRAINSLEEP Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Atsushi Hirota; hereinafter "BRAINSLEEP") held a media presentation event to address Japan's sleep challenges. The first half featured a discussion with Professor Nishino, who visited Japan from Stanford University, where they analyzed data on the current state of sleep in Japan. In the second half, Shohei Osada from Chocolate Planet, who became a second-term ambassador, along with Shun Matsuo from Chocolate Planet, who joined as an ambassador duo for the first time, and Michopa (Miyu Ikeda), a BRAINSLEEP lover, took the stage. This presentation, held in advance of BRAINSLEEP's fifth anniversary, involved a discussion in the first half about how sleep in Japan has changed over the past five years and what challenges are emerging. The second half, acknowledging that despite sleep being a trending topic, many still suffer from sleep problems, featured Matsuo-san portraying various characters with symbolic sleep issues. Osada-san and Michopa-san advised him on correct sleep knowledge and how to get quality sleep, unfolding a story to solve Japanese sleep challenges in a comedic skit overflowing with Chocolate Planet's signature style. Based on this data, we presented the sleep challenges visualized from the latest survey. Professor Nishino, Director of the Stanford University Sleep & Circadian Neurobiology Lab, who visited from San Francisco, provided insights and comments on these challenges and their background. Sleep Challenge-Solving Skit and Sleep Talk Session Shohei Osada of Chocolate Planet, now a second-term ambassador and Master of Brainsleeper, appeared with a crown-adorned BRAINSLEEP Pillow attached to the back of his head. He was further enhanced by wearing BRAINSLEEP-colored pajamas and a luxurious gown featuring three sizes of BRAINSLEEP Pillows. Regarding his promotion to Master of Brainsleeper, he expressed his joy, saying, "I've always wanted to be a master, and I've been applying for it, so my wish has finally come true." Miyu Ikeda (Michopa), a BRAINSLEEP lover who has publicly stated in the media that she uses BRAINSLEEP products, appeared in a refreshing off-white mini-length co-ord set. About her encounter with the BRAINSLEEP Pillow, she said, "I was curious about it shortly after it was released and decided to try it. I've been using it ever since. Later, I also bought the renewed pillow. Of course, my husband and I both use it, and I even give it as a wedding gift to friends." She expressed her love for BRAINSLEEP. Regarding the comfort and benefits, she commented, "It conforms to the shape of my head, and I can sleep soundly even with short sleep, which is stress-free." Then, three individuals with sleep problems (portrayed by Shun Matsuo of Chocolate Planet) came to consult Master of Brainsleepers Osada and Michopa, who enjoy improved sleep quality and comfortable daily lives thanks to the BRAINSLEEP Pillow that allows their brains to sleep. The first was a self-proclaimed short sleeper, Mr. Doyagao, who said, "I'm focusing on my health care with muscle training and saunas, but my muscle training results are no longer showing." Master of Brainsleeper Osada shared correct sleep knowledge, such as "Only a few percent of people worldwide are true short sleepers," "Poor sleep quality hinders growth hormone secretion, negatively impacting muscle development," and "Saunas are recommended 3 hours before sleep." He also advised, "If you want to see results from muscle training, not getting enough sleep is pointless," and gifted a high-size pillow adjusted to his physique as a solution. The second person was Aiko Tabo, a working mother who had just returned to work after childbirth. Carrying her infant (a doll) born last year, she sought advice, saying, "I'm extremely busy with housework, childcare, and work, and I can't secure enough sleep." Master of Brainsleeper Osada advised her with correct sleep knowledge, explaining, "Improved sleep quality reduces irritability" and "Try to secure even a little sleep time through segmented sleep." He added, "Even if it's short, if you improve the quality of segmented sleep, you can reduce stress," and gifted her a low-size pillow recommended for women. The third person was a man whose gaming handle was Master Matsuo. He struggled with staying up late playing games and not being able to sleep, saying, "I know it affects my work the next day, but I can't stop, I just do it, I just do it, I just do it...". Master of Brainsleeper Osada recommended "focusing on sleep quality and using breathable bedding, precisely because sleep time is short." Michopa, who also loves gaming, advised, "I play games too, but let's set an end time and get some sleep! You can always play again the next day!" She then gifted the last BRAINSLEEP Pillow attached to Osada, a standard-sized pillow, to help him find a solution. Afterward, the latest video featuring Chocolate Planet was unveiled. Matsuo of Chocolate Planet expressed his joy at becoming an ambassador, stating, "Osada-san recommended it, and I've been using it ever since. I'm so happy to be an ambassador starting this year," similar to Osada-san, with a pillow attached to the back of his head. In the sleep talk session with all three guests, Osada of Chocolate Planet encouraged those struggling with sleep, saying, "Don't give up; there's a pillow for everyone. I highly recommend trying the BRAINSLEEP Pillow!" Matsuo of Chocolate Planet also delivered memorable lines like, "With this pillow, there's no such thing as a sleepless night!" Michopa smiled and cheered, "Not getting enough sleep affects work performance and relationships. I sleep deeply, and everything resets, so I have no stress or worries. I'm so happy!" Despite their busy schedules, with hardly a day passing without seeing them in the media, the presentation highlighted how their commitment to sleep quality enhances their daily performance.
